Sana’a University Faculty of Medicine Holds Fourth Council Session, Approves Academic and Research Resolutions

The Council of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University convened today for its fourth regular session of the academic year 2026/2027.
Chaired by Dean Prof. Mohammad Al-Shehari, the meeting brought together Vice Deans, Department Chairs, and the Director of Kuwait University Hospital to deliberate on strategic academic, educational, research, and administrative matters.
The Council formally approved a series of faculty promotions, salary scale adjustments, and permanent appointments for teaching assistants in accordance with university regulations and committee recommendations, reinforcing academic staff stability and institutional growth.
On the educational and student affairs front, the Council ratified the final academic results for undergraduate and postgraduate students following comprehensive auditing processes, emphasizing strict adherence to institutional evaluation standards.
Addressing research developments, the Council approved several Master’s, Ph.D., and Doctor of Medicine (MD) research proposals across various medical specialties. It also endorsed the defense outcomes of several graduate theses aimed at tackling priority healthcare challenges.
Additionally, the Council approved the minutes of its previous session and addressed several organizational agenda items.
Concluding the meeting, the Council reiterated its commitment to institutional governance and interdepartmental synergy to advance medical education, elevate scientific research, and graduate highly qualified medical professionals capable of serving the health sector effectively.
