The Department of Radio and Television at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Sana’a University, organized a scientific seminar on Monday morning to discuss two PhD dissertation proposals submitted by researchers Jamal Ahmed Saleh Al-Umaysi and Sami Ahmed Qasim Abu Awadhah. The seminar took place at the department, with the attendance of several faculty members and postgraduate students.
Researcher Jamal Al-Umaysi presented his proposal titled:
“Communication Strategies for Presenting National Products through Digital Visual Media and Their Role in Enhancing Their Public Image.”
In his proposal, he discussed the importance of digital media in supporting national products and reinforcing national identity among audiences.
The research is supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdulwahab Al-Faqih.
Researcher Sami Abu Awadhah presented his proposal entitled:
“Directorial Techniques Used in Islamic Historical Films Presented on Arab Satellite Channels – A Semiotic Analytical Study.”
In his study, he aims to explore the directorial and semantic dimensions of visual discourse in Islamic historical productions.
This research is also supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdulwahab Al-Faqih.
The seminar witnessed active academic engagement and constructive discussion from the attendees, who praised the significance of the two topics and their alignment with the goals of contemporary media research. They emphasized the need to develop research tools that keep pace with modern digital and communication challenges
