*Sana’a University Journalism & Digital Media Students Launch Anti Newspaper as Practical Capstone Project*

SANA’A, Yemen — Third-year female students in the Department of Journalism and Digital Media have published a new newspaper titled Anti (“You”—feminine singular) as part of a hands-on project for their Publication Design II course, supervised by course instructor Dr. Abdo Al-Akwah.

The publication serves as a platform amplifying the voices, interests, and aspirations of female university students while showcasing their editorial and production capabilities in a simulated real-world newsroom environment.

Throughout the project, students managed the full news production lifecycle—from story planning, reporting, and writing to page layout and design. Utilizing the college’s Computer and Editing Suite, the team executed the visual and technical layout using Adobe InDesign, bridging theoretical concepts with industry-standard software skills required in modern media organizations.

This project underscores the Department of Journalism and Digital Media’s commitment to experiential learning, providing students with practical workflow experience, teamwork dynamics, and technical proficiency to prepare them for the evolving media job market
