Sana’a University Students to Defend Capstone Projects with Public Awareness Campaign on Cosmetic Procedure Risks
SANA’A, YEMEN | April 11, 2026
Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Sana’a University’s Faculty of Mass Communication has announced the upcoming defense of graduation projects for its 32nd cohort. This year’s senior presentations are headlined by a strategic awareness campaign titled: “The Risks of Cosmetic Procedures: Fillers and Botox.”
The campaign aims to bolster community awareness regarding the potential dangers of unsafe cosmetic interventions. Specifically, the student-led initiative highlights the health complications associated with the improper use of fillers and Botox, particularly when administered in unlicensed facilities or without qualified medical supervision.
The project is being conducted under the scientific supervision of Dr. Hameed Radman Al-Qudaimi, and Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department Prof. Abdulrahim Al-Shawri. The academic initiative is overseen by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Omar Ahmed Al-Bukahiti, and supported by several distinguished faculty members.
As part of the defense, students will present a diverse range of communication activities, including educational media content, public guidance campaigns, and community advocacy.
The formal discussion and project defense are scheduled to take place at the Faculty of Mass Communication Hall at Sana’a University on Monday, April 13, 2026.
The event is expected to draw a significant audience, including students, academic professionals, and community stakeholders interested in the intersection of communication and public health.
