“Dahaliz” Capstone Project Wins High Praise at Defense Session

The Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing at Sana’a University’s Faculty of Communication celebrated the defense of an outstanding senior graduation project titled “Dahaliz” (Labyrinths). The defense took place in the campus auditorium before an academic panel, media professionals, and interested attendees.
Dahaliz is a digital news platform operating under the slogan “Every Identity Has a Story.” Dedicated to covering cultural, historical, and artistic affairs, the student-led project presents a modern media vision that spotlights national identity through a professional, contemporary lens.
The evaluation committee and attendees widely praised the project, commending its compelling concept, high-quality execution, and sophisticated editorial approach, which demonstrated the students’ promising talents in digital journalism.
The defense committee included Prof. Ali Al-Ammar, Assoc. Prof. Sabah Al-Khaishani, and Dr. Abdo Al-Akwa. The session was also attended by filmmaker Ibrahim Al-Abyad and Dr. Khaled Omar.
This project highlights the Faculty of Communication‘s ongoing commitment to training media professionals capable of producing impactful, professional content that addresses societal issues and keeps pace with the evolving digital media landscape.
