Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing Capstone Defenses Celebrate High Academic Achievement
The Faculty of Communication at Sana’a University concluded its academic showcase of senior graduation projects by the women of the Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing, held in an environment that underscored rigorous scholarship and professional discipline.
These defenses marked the culmination of four years of academic coursework and practical media training. The students presented innovative, methodologically sound projects that demonstrated an advanced ability to manage digital editing, content creation, and media platform administration according to current industry standards.
The academic jury praised the intellectual depth of the projects. The panel noted that capstones offer students a vital opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to a simulated media environment, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to compete in the job market.
The Faculty reaffirmed its strategic focus on expanding experiential learning within its curriculum, linking student learning outcomes directly to the changing needs of the media sector to graduate professionals who carry both technical competence and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
The event drew a strong turnout of faculty members and families, who expressed great pride in the quality of work displayed, viewing the day as a celebration of years of discipline and shared effort.
The completion of these capstone projects fulfills the requirements for a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, reflecting the Faculty of Communication’s mission to provide a forward-looking education that keeps pace with rapid digital transformations
