Today, the Academic Advising and Student Support Unit at the College of Petroleum and Natural Resources at Sana’a University held the first orientation meeting for the college’s students for the academic year 2026–2027, with the participation of students from various academic levels, in coordination with the Quality Assurance Unit at the college and in the presence of the Student Forum.
The meeting aimed to welcome new students, introduce them to academic systems and regulations, academic advising mechanisms, and the concepts of quality and academic accreditation, in a way that contributes to preparing the educational environment, enhancing students’ awareness of their rights and duties, and providing the necessary facilities to address any obstacles they may face during their academic career.
The meeting, which was held in the college auditorium, was attended by more than (80) male and female students. It included an open discussion between the students, the academic advisor, and the control (examination) committee officials, during which the most prominent questions were reviewed and answered, alongside discussing a number of academic and administrative issues related to the educational process.
The organizers of the meeting emphasized that this event comes within the framework of the college’s keenness to improve the quality of teaching and learning, raise the level of academic awareness among students, and enhance communication between them and the academic and administrative authorities, in line with quality and academic accreditation standards.
