Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources Council Holds its First Session and Discusses Curricula Development for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

The Council of the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources held its regular meeting (its first session) for the 2026–2027 academic year, headed by the faculty’s deanship and in the presence of the council members, to discuss a number of academic and administrative issues. Foremost among these were the development of study plans, student affairs, postgraduate studies, and scientific research, as part of the faculty’s efforts to enhance the quality of the educational process and elevate academic and administrative performance.
The council addressed several topics related to updating the study plans of academic departments to keep pace with academic developments and the requirements of preparing qualified cadres in the fields of petroleum and natural resources. It also discussed a number of requests from faculty members and teaching assistants, reviewed issues related to student affairs, and examined postgraduate study topics, including the approval of several thesis titles, academic supervision, and the results of scientific defenses.
In conclusion, the council emphasized the importance of continuing to develop academic programs, enhancing institutional work and team spirit, and making decisions that serve students and researchers. This supports the journey of the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources toward academic excellence and strengthens its role in preparing specialized cadres capable of contributing effectively to community service and development.
