Date & Place of Birth: 5th of March (1984), Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.

I studied in Syria in the city of Damascus the school stages; primary, middle and high school, and moved to Yemen and completed my university studies in Sana’a University, faculty of Science, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences between (2003-2007) and I was the first in my class. At first I was appointed as a teaching assistant on the hour system. Then I got the official degree as a Demonstrator in Sana’a the university from (2010).

Also i’m a poet and writer. I have a number of poems and articles in Geology, literature and history, published in a number of Yemeni, Syrian and Arab magazines and newspapers like (Al-Hekmah, and Al-Ba’ith), and i have a printed poetry collection entitled (Fires of Paradise) in Arabic (Neeran Al-Jannah) in (2008). I have a number of books in my field of specialization printed in Sana’a, and i’m a member of the Yemeni Astronomical Society since its inception in May (2014).

Education:

– B.A in Sciences – Earth and Environmental Sciences – Geophysics and Hydrogeology, Sana’a University, in (2007). I got 82.45% (Very Good) grade. I was the first on my class, including the graduation year.

– My Graduation Project was a practical study case research on (Water Quality Assessment of Al Hodeidah well Fields); I got (Excellent Grade 95%) on this project.

– I completed the pre-master’s certific at Sana’a University in (2018) I got Very Good grade.

– In April (2020), I presented a presentation of Proposal, a master’s thesis in Hydrogeology specialization entitled “Hydrogeochemistry and Quality Assessment of Groundwater Wells in Al-Baydda and Wadi Al-Qutay Regions, Al-Hodiedah Governorate, Yemen” at Sana’a University.

– As an appreciation from Sana’a University, as I was the first on my class during my second and third years at University, I was sent to Syria as an exchange student to do a full-month training course on Geological sciences, during July & August (2006). I finished the coursed, and I got a Certificate of Training signed by the Dean of Damascus University.

-An (Electronics, Adv. Electronics and Computer Hardware) course at Al Mamoun International Institute in Damascus/ Syria in 2002. I finished the course with a (Very Good) grading.

– Several English Courses in Al Kindy Institute, in Damascus/ Syria, during (2002-2003), and in Mali American Institute in Yemen during (2008-2009).

Experience:

  • Teaching: (2007 – 2010), as a contracted Demonstrator, then (2010 – present) as an official Demonstrator in Sana’a University, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Earth and Environment Sciences.

– Subjects I taught are as follows:

1) First Term: I taught the practical part of the following subjects: Fundamental of Geology I, Historical Geology, Magnetic, Electrical & Gravity Methods, Geophysical Data Interpretations & Remediations, Structural Geology, Principles of Geophysics, Geology Of Yemen 1, Mineralogy & Crystallography, Marine Geology, Paleontology, Survey and `Field Geology, Stratigraphy, Groundwater Geology and Plate Tectonics.

2) Second Term: I taught the practical part of the following subjects: Fundamental Geology II, Seismology, Petroleum Exploration Methods, Engineering Geology, Geophysical Exploration Methods, Principles of Petrology, Geology of Yemen 2, Well Logging, Groundwater Geochemistry, Hydrology and Hydrogeology, Hydrogeology of Yemen, Principles of Statistics, Water Resources Integrated Management, Geoelectrical Methods and Geomorphology.

  • I worked with the team work as consultant with World Bank & Yemen Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board in research and field project during (2008-2009) for “Valuation of Minerals and Rocks section in Yemen“.

I specialized in the assessment of the state of industrial rocks and non-metallic minerals in Yemen.

  • I contracted with the Water Sector Development and Training Center of the Ministry of Water and Environment, Republic of Yemen, during the period February – March (2018), for a project to train the employees and heads of departments of institutions and bodies of the Republic of Yemen on modeling water samples and evaluate its quality to different uses; Drinking, domestical and agricultural utilizes, by using thr following computer softwares; Surfer RockWork, Aq.Qa, and the Aquachem.

 

Conferences and Workshops:

  • During my contract with the World Bank Yemen and Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board in the project (Valuation of Minerals and Rocks section in Yemen) between (2008-2009). I attended a workshop organized by the Yemen Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board entitled (Building stones and adornments in Yemen). A number of investing companies specialized in this field participated in this workshop to motivate them to invest in Yemen, and they included companies (Al-Raabi and Al-Rouhani).
  • At the first of May (2014), I attended the founding conference of the birth of the Yemeni Astronomical Society, and thus I was considered one of the founding members of this society.

Research and scientific papers:

  • My Graduation Project was a practical study case research on (Water Quality Assessment of Al Hodeidah well Fields); I got (Excellent Grade 95%) on this project.
  • – In April (2020), I presented a presentation of Proposal, a master’s thesis in Hydrogeology specialization entitled “Hydrogeochemistry and Quality Assessment of Groundwater Wells in Al-Baydda and Wadi Al-Qutay Regions, Al-Hodiedah Governorate, Yemen” at Sana’a University.
  • I jointly completed with the supervisors of my thesis for my master’s thesis preparing a paper for publication in one of the scientific journals as part of this thesis and this paper is under the title (Hydrogeochemical Characteristics and Quality Assessment of Shallow Groundwater wells in Al-Baydda Region, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen) I have a number of books with a specialization, either alone or in association with other authors:

1) Principles of Petrography – the practical part (2011)

2) Fundamentals of Seismology – The Practical Part (2013) AD.

3) Groundwater Geochemistry – Practical Part (2014).

4) Coefficient in the principles of geophysics of Earth fields (gravitational, magnetic and seismic) – practical part (2019).

5) Principles of Topographic and Geological Cartography – The Practical Part (2020).
