Faculty of Science at Sana’a University Concludes Specialized Training Course on “Fertilizers: Chemical Concepts and Agricultural Applications”

Under the auspices of the Presidency of Sana’a University and the Deanship of the Faculty of Science, the faculty’s Community Service Unit, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Plant Protection, concluded on Wednesday the specialized training course titled “Fertilizers: Chemical Concepts and Agricultural Applications.” The course aimed to enhance the participants’ cognitive and practical skills in this vital field.
The course focused on providing a comprehensive introduction to both chemical and organic fertilizers, reviewing optimal, science-based methods for their application to ensure maximum agricultural productivity while preserving soil fertility and sustainability. Additionally, the lectures addressed the latest scientific trends in sustainable fertilizer management and reducing the negative environmental impacts caused by the random or unregulated use of agricultural fertilizers.
The training program was distinguished by its integration of theoretical concepts and practical applications. The scientific sessions were conducted and facilitated by a distinguished group of specialists: Ms. Faten Al-Yafai, Ms. Noha Al-Arashi, and Ms. Fatima Al-Sharaabi. The trainers provided detailed explanations on the mechanisms of fertilizer impact on plant growth, sharing valuable scientific and practical expertise that significantly enriched the program and upgraded the trainees’ field skills.
