The study aimed to analyze Yemen’s policy toward the Israeli military campaign on Gaza Strip in the context of Al-Aqsa Flood. It also sought to examine the dimensions and determinants of Yemen’s position on the Palestinian cause and assess its implications at the Yemeni, Palestinian, regional, and international levels, based on the perspective that the Palestinian cause constitutes an integral part of Yemen’s religious, Arab, and Islamic identity.
The study concluded that Yemen’s support for the Palestinian cause reflects a deeply rooted religious, national, and historical commitment at both the official and popular levels. It found that this support is manifested across political, cultural, and military spheres and is distinguished from the positions adopted by many other Arab and Islamic countries.
The study recommended continuing support for the Palestinian cause, further strengthening the capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces and popular mobilization, enhancing the capacities of the Palestinian resistance, and sustaining financial, humanitarian, and public solidarity initiatives in support of the Palestinian people.
The thesis defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, the researcher’s colleagues, and other interested participants.
