Sana’a University Academic Council Holds First Regular Meeting for Academic Year 1448 Hijri

The Academic Council of Sana’a University held today its first regular meeting for the academic year 1448 Hijri / 2026, chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Mutaa, the University Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Chairman of the Council, in the presence of the council members.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Al-Mutaa welcomed the members of the council and emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to develop academic performance and enhance the quality of the educational process, in a manner that strengthens the university’s standing and scientific mission.
The council discussed a number of items listed on its agenda. It approved the minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed several academic and organizational matters related to the progress of the educational process and ways to improve academic performance across the university’s faculties and centers.
The council also approved several academic decisions, including approval of three academic promotions, approval of four academic status adjustments, confirmation of permanent tenure for 4 faculty members.
These decisions are expected to contribute to strengthening academic stability and enhancing the efficiency of the university’s academic staff.
In addition, the council discussed a number of academic, research, and organizational issues and adopted the appropriate decisions thereto, supporting the university’s ongoing academic development and scientific research efforts.
