Sana’a University Media Reaffirms Commitment to Professional Standards and Advances Training for Its Media Team

The Third Regular Meeting of officials responsible for the websites and social media pages of Sana’a University’s faculties and scientific and research centers underscored the importance of adhering to professional standards in preparing and posting media content, selecting appropriate and expressive images that reflect the University’s identity and mission, and implementing specialized training programs during the 1448 AH academic year to enhance the skills and capabilities of the University’s media team in digital media and content creation.
The meeting was held today at the Faculty of Commerce and Economics, chaired by Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs, and attended by officials responsible for the websites and social media pages of the University’s faculties and scientific and research centers.
Mr. Al-Hababi emphasized that university media represents the University’s public face and voice, underscoring the need to uphold accuracy, credibility, and professionalism in preparing posts. He also highlighted the importance of giving due attention to visual content alongside written content, noting that both are important in reflecting Sana’a University’s academic standing and strengthening its presence in international rankings and indicators.
He explained that the current academic year will feature a series of specialized training courses designed to provide the University media team with additional knowledge and practical expertise, enabling its members to keep pace with the rapid developments in digital media and effectively manage the University’s electronic platforms.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance media coverage of activities and events held by the University’s faculties and scientific and research centers to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth (al-Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif). The discussion focused on ensuring a coordinated and integrated media message that highlights the scale and diversity of activities taking place across the University on this occasion.
Participants also emphasized the importance of activating the University’s WhatsApp and Telegram channels and making greater use of their features to strengthen communication with students and respond to their inquiries. They stressed the need to submit monthly achievement reports on schedule and to make effective use of the University’s growing Facebook audience to promote its academic programs, achievements, and services.
The meeting also included a discussion of several proposals aiming at enhancing media performance and strengthening the University’s overall media system.
