Field Visit for Third-Level Plant Protection Students Sana’a – Faculty of Agriculture, Sana’a University

As part of its commitment to strengthening practical training and integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world application, the Faculty of Agriculture at Sana’a University organized a field visit for third-level students of the Plant Protection Department. The visit took place at vegetable nurseries in Al-Hasba area, east of the Ministry of Information, as part of the course requirements.
During the visit, students gained hands-on experience in vegetable seedling production. They were introduced to the key stages of the process, including preparation of germination media, selection of suitable seeds, planting methods in nursery beds, seedling care during early growth stages.
Students also observed essential nursery practices, such as pest and disease prevention methods, and learned the importance of applying sound agricultural techniques to ensure the production of healthy, vigorous seedlings suitable for transplanting into permanent fields.
This activity underscores the Faculty’s dedication to enhancing students’ practical competencies and equipping them with field-based experience that prepares them to address future agricultural challenges with professionalism and confidence.
