Faculty Council of Agriculture, Food, and Environment Convenes Regular Meeting to Review Academic and Administrative Agendas

The Council of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at Sana’a University convened its regular meeting, chaired by the faculty leadership and attended by council members, to deliberate on key academic, administrative, student affairs, and postgraduate matters. The session was held to review educational workflow and address scheduled agenda items.
The council reviewed the status of absent and disqualified students regarding examination eligibility, noting procedural measures taken—including formal written undertakings—while emphasizing strict enforcement of institutional regulations starting from the second semester. Additionally, the council reviewed the University President’s directive regarding tuition fee monitoring for undergraduate and postgraduate students, alongside addressing the faculty’s facility maintenance requirements.
Regarding academic scheduling, the council discussed second-semester lecture timetables, directing that preparation and distribution be finalized by the end of the first week of the upcoming semester. Faculty personnel matters were also addressed, including faculty promotions.
In postgraduate studies, the council approved graduate programs within the Plant Protection Department, ratified the non-specialist diploma track, approved several Ph.D. candidates, endorsed research thesis topics, and granted internal doctoral scholarships.
Furthermore, the council approved graduation rosters for the first round, supplementary round, and second round for the 2025/2026 academic year. Student welfare topics were also evaluated, including granting final academic opportunities to dismissed students in strict compliance with applicable university regulations.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to monitoring the implementation of these resolutions to ensure smooth educational operations, enforce academic and administrative discipline, and advance the faculty’s academic and research programs.
