Launch of Field Training Program for Second-Year Students at Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment

SANA’A— To reinforce practical integration and link theoretical knowledge with field practice, the field training program launched for second-year students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, under the supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Al-Mazaal, who accompanied the students during the initial field phases.
The program commenced by designating specific plots for field training aligned with program objectives and agricultural experiment requirements. The land was organized into five primary sections to facilitate the execution of practical activities. Each section comprised ten agricultural basins, measuring 2×3 meters per basin, allowing students to engage in structured agricultural practices and acquire essential skills in managing field operations.
The training also included preparing the land for cultivation by transporting and distributing organic fertilizers to improve soil fertility and prime it for crops in subsequent stages of the program. The training aims to develop students’ practical skills, enhancing their capacity to execute and manage agricultural operations from soil preparation through cultivation and production phases, preparing qualified agricultural cadres.
Mr. Ibrahim Al-Mazaal emphasized that field training represents a core pillar in preparing agricultural engineers, providing direct field experience that deepens students’ understanding of soil, crops, and modern agricultural technologies. Program activities are scheduled to continue, covering cultivation operations, monitoring crop growth, and evaluating results to ensure outstanding educational outcomes that enhance student readiness for the labor market.
