Agronomy Students Conduct Fieldwork on Fertilization and Crop Spraying

To strengthen practical skills and apply classroom learning in the field, students from the Department of Crop Science, alongside second-year classmates, conducted an open field day focused on soil fertilization and chemical spraying. The session capitalized on recent rainfall to optimize soil nutrition and enhance crop productivity.
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Muza’il oversaw the field operations, guiding students through proper techniques for fertilizer distribution and spraying equipment operation to maximize plant nutrient absorption and boost agricultural efficiency.
Occupational safety was a central focus of the exercise. Students adhered to safety protocols, utilizing protective equipment and following best practices for handling fertilizers and spraying machinery safely.
The field day is part of the department’s practical training program, designed to connect theory with practice and prepare qualified graduates ready to contribute effectively to the agricultural sector.
