As part of efforts to strengthen practical education and bridge theoretical coursework with field practice, Department of Horticulture and its Techniques at the Faculty of Agriculture conducted hands-on training for several departmental courses. Senior students (fourth-year) participated in the session, which serves as a foundational step for cultivating various warm-season vegetable crops. Held in partnership with the Department of Agricultural Engineering (fourth-year), the activity involved students in preparing and tilling the agricultural land according to technical and scientific standards. This collaborative effort aims to equip students with practical skills and enhance their field expertise across various stages of agricultural production. The practical training was conducted under the direct supervision of Engineer Anwar Al-Hakim and Engineer Ilham Arraf. Both provided hands-on guidance throughout the process, ensuring the educational and training objectives of the courses were met, while effectively boosting the students’ proficiency in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. This activity reflects the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to advancing the educational process by expanding practical training. By doing so, the faculty aims to qualify skilled agricultural professionals equipped with the expertise necessary to serve the agricultural sector and contribute to sustainable development.
