Students of the Department of Horticulture and Its Techniques Conduct Practical Application in Post-Harvest Handling Technology for Fruits and Vegetables

Fourth-year students in the Department of Horticulture and Its Techniques conducted a distinguished practical application as part of the Post-Harvest Handling Technology for Fruits and Vegetables course, aiming to enhance the practical aspect and link theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice.
During the application, students conducted sorting and grading operations for agricultural crops, followed by applying several different post-harvest treatments to learn the best methods for maintaining fruit quality and extending shelf life by providing appropriate laboratory preservation conditions.
This activity comes as part of the department’s commitment to developing students’ practical skills and introducing them to the techniques and methods used in post-harvest handling, contributing to reducing losses, maintaining the quality of horticultural products, and extending their shelf life.
