Department of History and International Relations Hosts Seminar on the “Total Pulse Theory”

As part of its cultural activities aimed at integrating historical studies and civilizational values with a Qur’anic perspective, the Department of History and International Relations at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, hosted a seminar today titled “The Total Pulse Theory: Toward a New Philosophy of History.” Presented by Assoc. Prof. Mohammed Hussein Al-Safi, the event brought together faculty members, researchers, students, and interested attendees.
Dr. Al-Safi presented the core pillars of the Total Pulse Theory, explaining it as a comprehensive philosophical framework that views the universe, nature, and history as a unified system governed by a dynamic, rhythmic movement rooted in fixed divine laws manifesting in evolving forms.
He noted that the theory posits that all existence operates under a universal pulse encompassing matter, energy, life, consciousness, and societies. History, he emphasized, is not a sequence of random events, but a manifestation of a continuous pulse connecting ongoing creation, cosmic praise, and the movement of civilizations across eras.
Dr. Al-Safi highlighted that the theory seeks to build a contemporary philosophy of history integrating divine revelation, philosophy, and modern science, offering a more holistic understanding of the relationships between humanity, history, and the universe.
The presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A session. Distinguished guests in attendance included Shura Council Member Dr. Amr Al-Hamdani, alongside faculty members, researchers, and students.
