Program Mission and Aims | |

|
| To produce qualified personnel capable of fulfilling the labor market and society’s needs by training EFL researchers and teachers to address English-related challenges, deliver consultations on research grounded in English, enhance researchers’ capabilities in teaching GE and ESP, and improve their proficiency in curriculum development and evaluation for each category separately. |
|
|
| 1- To broaden MA students’ comprehension of the English language’s nature and applications in educational settings and public contexts, including various theories related to language acquisition and application, with a particular focus on English teaching methods and approaches. 2- To provide MA students with the knowledge and skills requisite for analyzing and addressing everyday challenges and issues associated with English language in a scholarly and methodical manner. 3- To equip MA students with essential competencies to proficiently teach English at the university level or within general education across diverse environments. 4- To enhance MA students’ proficiency and aptitude in conducting English-related research, adeptly addressing challenges in language applications, including GE or ESP teaching as well as curriculum design. 5- To enhance students’ capacity to deduce and analyze language structures, thereby facilitating a deeper understanding of English and making learning and instructional processes easier. 6- To empower students to refine their skills in linguistic and literary analysis, criticism, communication, and presentation within the realm of EFL teaching. 7- To develop students’ skills in diverse applications, with a focus on curriculum design, language teaching methods, and language assessment. 8- To provide language consultancy services to research centers interested in English language studies and its applications as a foreign language. 9- To provide students with essential computer and technology skills, enabling them to effectively utilize these tools in real-world applications such as language teaching and curriculum development.10- To provide society and the nation with competent individuals capable of delivering consultations and conducting scientific and specialized studies in English studies and teaching methods across various domains. |
