Scientific Lecture on “Sports Injuries” Held as Part of the AFC C-Level Coaching Course

As part of the activities of the AFC C-Level Coaching Course organized by the Yemen Football Association branch in the Capital Secretariat, a specialized scientific lecture titled “Sports Injuries” was held, delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Sharafi, Assistant Professor of Sports Injuries and Motor Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Physical Education – University of Sana’a.
During the lecture, Dr. Al-Sharafi addressed the most common types of sports injuries, their causes, prevention methods, as well as modern approaches to first aid and motor rehabilitation. He emphasized the critical role of coaches in preventing injuries and protecting athletes on and off the field.
This lecture comes as part of a series of scientific sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of the course participants, in accordance with the standards set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and in support of developing well-qualified coaching professionals capable of keeping up with modern advancements in sports training.
The session witnessed notable engagement from the participating coaches, who praised the lecture’s academic depth and practical relevance, and actively contributed through questions and discussions that enriched the dialogue.
