The thesis aimed to assess the psychological effects of halted sports competitions on coaches of team sports across Yemen.
Using a standardized psychological effects scale, the research yielded several notable findings as follows:
-
The overall score of the Psychological Effects Scale, from the perspective of team-sport coaches, was rated at an “agree” level, with a mean of 761, a standard deviation of 0.428, and a relative significance of 58.71%.
-
No statistically significant differences were found in the average responses regarding the psychological effects attributable to the variables of educational qualification or years of experience.
-
Statistically significant differences were, however, observed with respect to the variable of type of sport
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
-
Developing specialized training programs through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, sports federations, and clubs to encourage coaches to continue their professional engagement.
-
Renovating, equipping, and rehabilitating sports facilities, including stadiums and gyms, to encourage coaches and athletes to practice sports.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and interested participants, along with the candidate’s colleagues and family members.
