An Elite Group of Faculty Members from the Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University Deliver Scientific Lectures in a Training Course Organized by the Yemeni General Federation of Sports Medicine

Within the framework of the training course organized by the Yemeni General Federation of Sports Medicine, Dr. Bakil Hussein Al-Sofi delivered a valuable scientific lecture entitled “Warm-Up in the Sports Field and Its Importance in the Prevention of Sports Injuries.”
The lecture addressed the concept of warm-up and its significance as a fundamental component of athletes’ physical preparation, highlighting its effective role in reducing the risk of sports injuries and enhancing physical performance efficiency.
Dr. Al-Sofi also reviewed the correct scientific principles underlying warm-up programs, their different types, and the common mistakes made by some coaches and athletes, as well as the impact of these errors on the safety of the muscular and joint systems.
The lecture witnessed remarkable interaction from participants, owing to its applied scientific content and practical examples, which contributed to raising awareness of the importance of warm-up as a basic preventive measure across various sports activities.
This lecture comes within the context of mutual cooperation between the Faculty of Physical Education and the Yemeni General Federation of Sports Medicine, aiming to enhance the scientific and practical standards of sports and medical personnel, promote a culture of injury prevention, and ultimately contribute to the development of Yemeni sports and the improvement of athletes’ health.
