The study aimed to examine the impact of psychological stress on the performance of employees in private healthcare institutions across four dimensions: work-related stress, psychological and emotional stress, physical stress, and social stress. It also sought to identify the implications of such stress for family relationships across four dimensions: family communication, emotional support, family cohesion, and problem-solving.

The study found that healthcare workers experienced varying levels of psychological stress across its different dimensions. Occupational stress was found to be at a moderate level, with several indicators reaching relatively high levels, including persistent muscle tension, sleep difficulties, insufficient institutional support, and time pressure.

The study recommended developing professional and psychological support programs for employees, strengthening family support, improving workload management and shift scheduling, enhancing internal communication, and strengthening institutional support.
The thesis defense was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, and interested participants as well as the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
