Conclusion of the Field Visit by the External Review Team of the Council of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (CAQA) to the Faculty of Commerce and Economics at Sana’a University

Today, the external review team for the institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Commerce concluded its field visit, which lasted for four consecutive days, during which it held many meetings and interviews and visited the facilities, equipment, and contents of the faculty.
In conclusion, Dr. Mohammed Dhaifullah, the Secretary-General, reviewed the importance of institutional accreditation and the difference between it and program accreditation, explaining that Sana’a University is the first university to apply for program accreditation and institutional accreditation, and today we conclude the team’s visit to the fifth faculty visited.
The Secretary-General also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the university leadership, represented by its Rector, Dr. Al-Kasem Abbas, and his deputies, and the deans of the Faculty of Commerce and the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Huda Al-Sanhani, as well as to the external review team headed by Prof. Jamal Dirham Ahmed Saeed, and the membership of Prof. Abdulkhaleq Hadi Tawaf, and Assoc. Prof. Tawfiq Mosleh Saleh Al-Sanabani, and Dr. Emad Fuad Abdulwahid Al-Ramada.
As well as to the expert committee, Prof. Noman Fairouz, member of the council, and the membership of Mr. Nasr Madar, the legal advisor to the council, and Dr. Hussein Hanash, Director General of Review, Mr. Abdullah Al-Hakimi, who worked for four days and for their efforts in completing the field visit. The Secretary-General also reviewed the procedures and requirements even after the visit.

Prof. Noman Fairouz, member of the council and head of the expert committee, reviewed the procedures and steps of accreditation from the signing of the agreement until after the field visit.
Prof. Jamal Dirham, the head of the team, reviewed the visit plan and the procedures carried out by the team, as well as the meetings and interviews held by the team, as well as the most prominent strengths and weaknesses of the faculty.
The presentation was attended by the deputy deans, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
