Brief of My Teaching Philosophy:
I consider teaching is a very important and enjoyable academic duty. Rather than simply lecturing to a class, I strive to cultivate an interactive environment in which students can gain knowledge and learn in easily ways. I emphasize critical thinking, learn skills, and enhance skill of self-development. I encourage and challenge students to work up to their potential, in hopes that their experiences in my classes will enable them do practical development and enhancement.
Based on my own experience I believe that students should have a hands-on experience in doing small projects and working through problems in addition to theoretical treatment of the subject. The impact of a hands-on experience tends to stay for a much longer time. I would also like to keep my courses flexible. I would like to evaluate my students progressively over the semester through assignments, projects and quizzes rather than just through tests. For master students and advanced courses, marks are given for writing a research paper or a major project.
I believe that my academic nine years of experience at the universities such as Science & Technology and Al-RAZI will easily enable me contribute to the department scholarly learning, research and service activities, including undergraduate students, supervising graduate students and community service.
