Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University Celebrates Prophet’s Birthday and Honors Outstanding and Top-Performing Students

Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, affirmed that commemorating the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) represents an opportunity to reflect on the noble values embodied by the Prophet, particularly knowledge, ethics, compassion, and responsibility. He commended the role of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in preparing qualified healthcare professionals and advancing the standards of education and academic training.
He made the remarks during his participation today in a commemorative ceremony organized by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences to mark the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, held in Jaber Hall at the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of the Faculty Dean, Vice Deans, faculty members, administrative and technical staff, and male and female students.
The University Rector praised the efforts of the Faculty’s leadership, faculty members, and students in developing the educational process and enhancing academic performance. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to improve the quality of educational and training programs in order to prepare healthcare professionals capable of serving society and contributing to the development of the health sector.
Prof. Khaled Al-Khamisi, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that the occasion provides an opportunity to draw inspiration from Prophetic values in the pursuit of knowledge and professional work and to strengthen the ethical and professional responsibility of students in health-related disciplines.
He noted that preparing medical and healthcare professionals is not only limited to imparting knowledge and professional skills, but also encompasses building well-rounded individuals grounded in humanitarian and ethical values, thereby enhancing the quality of professional practice and service to patients and society.
The celebration also featured a speech by the University Student Forum, which emphasized the importance of fostering a spirit of cooperation and belonging to the Faculty and encouraging students to continue their academic pursuits and strive for academic excellence while making the most of their university years to build successful professional futures.
The event featured religious chants and praise recitations in honor of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him), reflecting the spiritual character of the occasion and drawing enthusiastic engagement from the attendees.
At the conclusion of the event, the University Rector, the Faculty Dean, and department heads honored outstanding and top-performing male and female students from various academic levels and programs in recognition of their academic excellence and efforts and to motivate them to continue striving for excellence and achievement.
The Faculty leadership affirmed that honoring outstanding students forms part of its efforts to support academic excellence and motivate students to develop their academic and professional capabilities, thereby enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and supplying the labor market and health sector with qualified professionals.
The event forms part of the academic and cultural activities organized by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University to foster a university environment that encourages learning, creativity, and excellence, while linking academic achievement with humanitarian and professional values.
