Department of Business Administration Holds Seminar for PhD Dissertation Proposal on Digital Transformation and Financial Performance

Department of Business Administration at Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Sana’a University, held a scientific seminar today, Saturday, September 6, 2025, to discuss a PhD Dissertation proposal.
The proposal was presented by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Issa, with a dissertation titled: “The Impact of Digital Transformation on Financial Performance Through the Mediating Role of Competitive Advantage: A Field Study of Yemeni Commercial Banks in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).”
The PhD Viva-voce committee consisted of:
– Prof. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Shami, Professor of Business Administration at Sana’a University (Main Supervisor).
– Assoc. Prof. Nabil Mohammed Al-Olufi, Associate Professor of Business Administration at Amran University (Examiner and Chairman).
– Assoc. Prof. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi, Associate Professor of Business Administration at Sana’a University and Head of the Department of Business Administration at Faculty of Commerce and Economics (Examiner).
– Asst. Prof. Ali Ahmed Al-Hamidi, Assistant Professor of Statistics at Sana’a University (Statistical Examiner).
The candidate presented his dissertation plan and its contents, after which the seminar committee members enriched the proposal with scholarly observations and academic guidance, in preparation for its official approval at the departmental council meeting.
