  • Participated in different aspects of design, development, and implementation of mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e-2005 standard) system-on-chip (WiMAX SoC) handset from concept to proof of performance.
  • Developed novel methods and algorithms for channel estimation in mobile WiMAX and evaluated the performance under different parameters and scenarios.
  • Developed MATLAB simulations for 2X2 MIMO system, evaluated and improved the performance, coverage and capacity.
  • Deeply involved in designing, developing, simulations, and implementation of the PHY and MAC layers for direct mobile-to-mobile (M2M) communication system, a feature that was not included in the IEEE 802.16e-2005 standard.
  • Designed robust and stable algorithms for estimation RSSI and CINR.
  • Filed, with others, three patents and published three technical papers.

  • Conducted research on future wireless communication systems, focus on OFDM systems and their performance, MIMO channel capacity analysis over correlated fading channels, and 3D multipath channel modeling and simulations.
  • Developed MIMO-OFDM link-level simulation in MATLAB and adaptive algorithms for channel estimation and tracking.
