Faculty of Medicine Evaluates Batch 43 Students in Musculoskeletal Pathology

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University conducted final practical examinations today in “Pathology of the Musculoskeletal System” for second-year medical students (Batch 43) inside its Specialized Pathology Museum.
The examination serves as a core component of the faculty’s assessment framework to measure learning outcomes and diagnostic comprehension prior to advanced clinical training.
The Pathology Museum features an extensive collection of categorized gross surgical specimens, tissue preparations, and morbid anatomical displays. The facility enables students to transition from understanding disease pathogenesis to performing morphological analyses of bone, joint, and connective tissue disorders, honing early differential diagnosis skills.
Designed according to objective evaluation standards, the exam stations assessed student problem-solving skills and mastery of the musculoskeletal curriculum.
Dean Prof. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Shehari stated that utilizing specialized facilities for final practical exams reflects the university’s shift toward competency-based medical training. He emphasized that pathology connects basic biomedical sciences to clinical application, establishing a solid foundation for future diagnostic accuracy.
The faculty continues to update its academic infrastructure, laboratories, and curricula to maintain high educational standards and prepare qualified medical professionals.
