Second-Year Medical Students Complete Musculoskeletal Microbiology and Immunology Practical Exam

As part of its commitment to developing student diagnostic skills, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University conducted final practical examinations today for the “Microbiology and Medical Immunology of the Musculoskeletal System” module for second-year students (Batch 43).
The tests took place in the faculty’s Microbiology Laboratories, which provide specialized technology and microscopic tools for studying pathogenic microorganisms and immune responses, particularly those related to bone, joint, and muscle disorders.
Supervised by faculty members and teaching assistants, the examination focused on clinical competencies, including direct bacterial diagnosis, identification of culture media, analysis of colony characteristics, assessment of microbial resistance, and serological evaluation of immune responses.
These practical assessments reinforce the faculty’s objective of bridging academic knowledge with laboratory practice, preparing medical students to manage diagnostic workflows in healthcare facilities.
