Fourth-year students in the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Sana’a University presented their new social campaign, “Share Your Book,” as part of the practical application of the Audio-Visual Advertising course. The campaign aims to promote a culture of solidarity, cooperation, and active participation among university students.
The campaign seeks to foster a spirit of community participation among students and encourage them to share and exchange books and make greater use of available resources. In doing so, it contributes to supporting the educational environment and strengthening cooperation and solidarity within the university community.
Dr. Abdulbaset Al-Hutami, the course instructor, praised the students’ efforts in developing and implementing the campaign, describing it as a successful and distinctive example of a social campaign. He noted that the project was evaluated according to the required criteria and achieved its intended objectives.
The student organizers explained that their ambition for the “Share Your Book” campaign extends beyond Sana’a University. They hope it will serve as a starting point for similar initiatives at other Yemeni universities and as a model for meaningful student-led initiatives that contribute to the university community and promote a culture of cooperation and initiative.
The campaign reflects the Faculty of Mass Communication’s commitment to connecting academic learning with practical application and equipping students with the skills needed to plan and implement media and social campaigns. This approach strengthens their professional capabilities, prepares them for active participation in the labor market, and enables them to make meaningful contributions to society.
