Students at the Faculty of Mass Communication completed a practical training project in feature filmmaking, producing a short film titled “The Book of Truth” as part of hands-on instruction in directing, screenwriting, dialogue, cinematography, lighting, and editing.
The film is part of practical exercises aimed at converting theoretical knowledge into production skills by immersing students in an integrated experience that simulates the stages of dramatic production—from initial concept, screenplay, and dialogue to shooting, lighting, directing, editing, and post-production.
The project features a screenplay and dialogue written by Taha Hussein Al-Zaidi, directed by Abdulrahman Abu Zara’a, with lighting by Ali Jubran Al-Qubati, while camera operation and editing were handled by the project team detailed in the course submission.
Executed under the supervision of Dr. Basel Ahmed Nasser Al-Hamati, the film aligns with the Faculty of Mass Communication’s commitment to strengthening students’ practical expertise and providing them with essential technical skills for television and film production.
“The Book of Truth” reflects the faculty’s strategy to connect academic study with field practice, offering students an avenue to explore their creative potential and develop skills in dramatic and media content creation.
