Faculty of Mass Communication Announces Comprehensive Examination for Master’s Pre-Program Graduates of Over Five Years

SANA’A —Faculty of Mass Communication announced a comprehensive examination for students who completed their master’s pre-program (preliminary courses) more than five years ago. Covering all three of the faculty’s departments, this initiative aims to regulate academic procedures and fulfill the necessary requirements for continuing graduate studies.
The faculty specified that the examination will cover five core courses tailored to each department. For the Department of Public Relations, the exam will include: Research Methodologies, Communication Theories, International Communication and Globalization, Public Relations Strategies, and Special Topics in Public Relations.
For the Department of Journalism, the examination will cover: Research Methodologies, Communication Theories, Journalism and Societal Issues, Advanced News Editing, and Print and Electronic Journalism Research.
Meanwhile, the Department of Radio and Television examination will consist of: Research Methodologies, Communication Theories, International Communication and Globalization, Advanced Production of News and Dramatic Programs, and Documentary Filmmaking.
The administration confirmed that the comprehensive exam will run concurrently with the master’s pre-program final exams for the current semester, which are scheduled to take place in approximately one month at the faculty’s campus.
The Dean’s Office urges all eligible students to prepare thoroughly for the examination and review the designated curricula, ensuring they meet the required academic standards to advance their graduate degrees.
