Graduate Studies Council Continues 4th Meeting for Academic Year 2025/2026

Sana’a – Tuesday, October 21, 2025 (Rabi’ Al-Thani 29, 1447 Hijri)
The Council of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Sana’a University today, Tuesday, completed its fourth meeting for the 2025/2026 academic year. The meeting, which began yesterday, Monday, was chaired by Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, and attended by Prof. Huda Ali Al-Emad, Vice Rector’s Assistant for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, with the participation of faculty vice deans and representatives of scientific and research centers.
The council discussed several academic and administrative matters and approved the updated specification of the PhD program in Sports Science at the Faculty of Physical Education, as well as the launch of a new Master’s Program in Anesthesiology (Anesthesia) at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences.
The Council also approved the topics for 22 PhD. dissertations and 42 Master’s theses. It also approved the defense and the viva voce results for 18 Master’s theses and 10 PhD dissertations from various faculties and centers.
Furthermore, the council approved the results of students in several programs, including PG diploma programs, academic performance improvement programs, and preliminary master’s programs. It also endorsed a number of internal scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees.
The council’s also approved the minutes of its previous session.
