Academic Council Holds 4th Meeting for Academic Year 2025-2026

Sana’a, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 (29 Rabi‘ al-Akhir 1447 AH)

The Academic Council of Sana’a University held its fourth regular meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Mutaa, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, with the participation of council members representing various university faculties.

At the outset, the council reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting before proceeding to discuss the items on its agenda.

During the session, the council adopted several academic decisions, including the approval of academic promotion for four faculty members, rank adjustment for nine faculty members, and the final approval of tenure for fourteen faculty members.

The meeting also addressed a number of issues related to the teaching process and academic performance across faculties, taking appropriate measures aimed at enhancing the quality of higher education at the university.

The meeting was attended by
– Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
– Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Applied Sciences
– Dr. Mohammed Qusaila, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
Their participation focused on discussing topics related to the academic and administrative affairs of their respective faculties.
