Department of Crops & Plant Genetics Conducts Field Visits to Oversee Graduate Research

As part of its commitment to practical learning and applied scientific research, the Department of Crops and Plant Genetics at Sana’a University’s Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment conducted a field supervision visit to Master’s research trial sites.
Led by Dr. Jalal Kulaib, Head of the Department, and Prof. Ali Mohammad Al-Azaki, the supervisory team inspected experimental field plots dedicated to evaluating crop productivity and plant response under varying environmental conditions.
During the visit, graduate researchers presented progress reports on their experimental trials. The team reviewed preliminary findings, discussed field challenges, and provided technical guidance on irrigation management, measurement precision, and statistical data analysis.
Faculty supervisors stressed the importance of rigorous scientific methodology and aligning academic research with the practical needs of the local agricultural sector to drive sustainable agricultural development.
