Faculty of Agriculture Celebrates Prophet’s Birthday, Honors Top Scholars, and Welcomes New Students

*SANA’A – Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (Safar 29, 1448 AH)*
Under the auspices of the University President, the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at Sana’a University—in collaboration with the Student Forum—hosted a cultural and speech event today to commemorate the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabawi).
The event featured a ceremony honoring top-performing students across various academic levels and programs, while officially welcoming the incoming freshman class.
The ceremony was attended by Abdul-Salam Al-Mutamayyiz, Advisor to the University President, alongside the Dean, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and families of the honored scholars.
Keynote addresses were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, the Representative of the University President, and a representative of the Student Forum. The speakers highlighted the spiritual and ethical values of the occasion, emphasizing the importance of drawing inspiration from prophetic traditions to promote academic excellence, integrity, and knowledge. The program also included a poetic recital by a student, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the Prophet.
The speeches emphasized orientation efforts for incoming students, introducing them to academic departments and campus resources to support a seamless transition into university life. The event concluded with the presentation of awards and certificates to top-achieving students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
