To reinforce practical learning and link theoretical knowledge with field application, second-year students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment – Sana’a University conducted a field trip to the Rasabah Cattle Farm. The visit aimed to closely observe cattle breeding and care methods and review practical aspects related to animal production under the supervision of Engineer Jamal Al-Qudami.
During the field visit, students were introduced to the farm components and operational procedures, observing cattle housing and care methods, feeding and forage routines, water provision techniques, and the importance of maintaining hygiene in barns and surrounding animal environments.
Students also reviewed procedures followed to maintain cattle health, farm management techniques, and the organization of care and animal production processes, enhancing their understanding of practical applications in cattle breeding and management.
This field trip is part of the applied activities the faculty consistently implements due to their role in building students’ practical skills and fostering their ability to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world field applications.
Such visits contribute to equipping students with field experience and broadening their perspectives, helping them form a more comprehensive understanding of the realities and development methods of animal production.
