Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University Continues Its Academic Progress with Intensive Lectures in Specialized Fields Sana’a

Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University reaffirms the continuity and high effectiveness of its educational and academic process, in line with its steadfast commitment to graduating well-qualified sports professionals who meet the needs of both the labor market and the community. These ongoing efforts aim to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of the academic plan, with an emphasis on both theoretical and practical dimensions across various sports disciplines.
In this context, the faculty’s classrooms and training fields have witnessed an intensification of lectures and practical sessions in several core and specialized courses, which serve as a foundation for developing students’ knowledge and skills. These sessions have been marked by strong attendance and active participation from male and female students, under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialized faculty members.
In the Basketball Course: Advanced theoretical and practical lectures were conducted, focusing on offensive and defensive tactical strategies, alongside training in both fundamental and advanced skills, as well as international game regulations. The aim was to prepare academically qualified teachers capable of applying these concepts effectively.
In the Combat Sports (Boxing) Course: The specialized training hall for combat sports witnessed notable activity centered on the principles and rules of boxing. The sessions emphasized the correct application of techniques and sparring methods to ensure student safety while enhancing their physical and mental capabilities in this vital sport. Security and safety measures were carefully observed during all practical applications.
In the Recreational Sports Course: An important lecture was held to equip students with the necessary knowledge to organize and manage recreational activities and community sports programs. The session focused on the role of recreation in improving quality of life and public health, as well as on designing innovative recreational programs suitable for different age groups.
These concerted efforts reflect the faculty’s dedication to providing comprehensive and integrated sports education that combines academic depth with practical expertise. Such an approach contributes to elevating students’ academic and athletic performance and reinforces the faculty’s status as a leading educational institution in the region.
