Master’s Degree Awarded to Mr. Mohammed Dhaifallah Hassan Faris in Physical Education

Mr. Mohammed Dhaifallah Hassan Faris was awarded a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with for his thesis titled: Sport as a Means to Promote Optimal Health from the Perspective of Community Members in the Capital Secretariat of Sana’a, which was submitted to Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Physical Education – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

- Identify the role of sport in promoting physical, social, psychological, and cognitive health among members of the community in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
- Examine the role of sport in enhancing the physical fitness of members of the armed and security forces, from the perspective of community members in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
- There were statistically significant differences in the role of sport in promoting optimal health among community members, attributed to the variables of practice and age.
- No significant differences were found regarding gender or educational level, except in the dimension of perceptions of sport in promoting optimal health among members of the armed and security forces, where statistically significant differences were found in favor of males.
