As part of the activities of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coaching Course – Level C, a specialized scientific lecture titled “Anatomy and Physiology and Their Relation to Football” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Khawlani, a distinguished academic in the field of sports sciences.
The lecture aimed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge about the structure and functions of the human body and link it to practical applications in football, contributing to improved physical performance and reduced injury rates among players.

As part of the implementation of the plan faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University for the first semester of the academic year 2025/2026, a scientific lecture was held in the subject of statistics in the sports field, presented by Associate Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Warafi, as part of the statistics course for college students.
The lecture aimed to introduce students to the basics and concepts of statistics in the sports field and its practical applications in analyzing sports performance and measuring physical and technical indicators.

As part of the practical academic lectures, faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University organized, today, Monday, July 14, 2025, an applied lecture on volleyball for second-level students, under the supervision of Dr. Bakil Hussein Al-Sofai, as part of the academic program for the current academic year.
The lecture focused on developing basic skills in volleyball, including serving, receiving, crushing, defensive and offensive positioning movements, in addition to training on some group plans on the field.
The students showed great interaction during the lecture, which aimed to enhance the applied aspects of the course and provide them with the necessary practical knowledge and skills in the field of physical education.

Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University, coordination and enrollment procedures in the college’s programs (bachelor’s and postgraduate studies) were followed up this morning for employees of the ministry and its affiliated entities, with the aim of qualifying administrative and technical cadres in the sports and academic fields.

In a related context, it was agreed to prepare for a specialized workshop on job descriptions at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which aims to build an integrated organizational framework that defines the tasks and competencies of each administrative and technical position within the Ministry, its offices and branches.
The workshop will be attended by a group of specialists in management and institutional planning, in addition to general managers from various sectors of the Ministry, to come up with practical recommendations that contribute to developing institutional performance and raising work efficiency.
The leaders of Faculty and the ministry stressed the importance of this constructive cooperation, which reflects the serious trend towards advancing the sports sector through academic qualification and continuous administrative modernization.

As part of its continuous endeavor to preserve the university environment and enhance the aesthetic aspect within the academic campus, Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University continues to carry out regular care and maintenance of nurseries, trees, and green spaces spread throughout the college.
The work carried out this week included regular irrigation and fertilization operations, pruning trees and plants, in addition to removing weeds, and planting new varieties of flowers and seasonal plants that add a comfortable and aesthetic atmosphere to the college environment.
