Master’s Degree Awarded to Ms. Siham Al-Hubaishi in International Development
Ms. Siham Yahya Mohammed Al-Hubaishi was awarded a Master’s Degree in International Development with an average of Excellent for her thesis titled: Trends of Local Development Organizations towards Implementing Reconstruction Programs from a Social Development Perspective in the Republic of Yemen, which was submitted to the Inclusive Development Research Center – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, April 16, 2026

The thesis aimed to:
- Identify the trends of local development organizations toward implementing reconstruction programs from a social development perspective, with application to Yemeni community.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
- Local development organizations rely on external funding in preparing their budgets, reflecting the availability of international support sources that sustain their activities.
- These organizations are committed to submitting financial and administrative reports to official authorities, indicating a level of institutional compliance.
- They implement programs in education, health, and human rights, targeting diverse groups such as children, youth, and persons with special needs.
- Their interventions focus on the most affected governorates and are aligned with citizens’ needs, demonstrating a priority-driven and responsive approach.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
