*Sana’a University Organizes Training Workshop on “Preparing Course Portfolios and Reports” to Enhance Academic Quality Standards*

Under the patronage of Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, the university’s Academic Development Center and Quality Assurance (ADCQA) organized today a training workshop titled “Preparing Course Portfolios and Reports,” with the participation of quality vice deans across various faculties and scientific centers.
At the opening of the workshop, the Dean of the Academic Development Center and Quality Assurance, Prof. Huda Ali Al-Emad, emphasized that organizing this event falls within the center’s continuous efforts to develop academic programs and align them with academic accreditation standards. She explained that maintaining course portfolios and reports in academic departments serves as an essential reference for updating program documentation and course specifications, in addition to their role in documenting teaching practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.
For his part, the Vice Dean of the Center, Dr. Muneer Saleh Al-Azzani—who moderated the workshop—reviewed the importance of preparing these documents in enabling faculties to meet course implementation requirements and leveraging their results to develop the educational process for upcoming years.
The workshop featured discussions on two main tracks: the first focused on the concept, importance, and core components of the course portfolio, while the second addressed the course report regarding form content and completion mechanisms, highlighting the key challenges facing faculty members and proposals for developing curricula and teaching methods.
The workshop also included extensive interventions and discussions from participating professors, which enriched the presented topics and clarified practical mechanisms for utilizing reports to improve academic performance.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of adhering to accuracy and regularity in preparing course portfolios and reports to support the university’s efforts in achieving quality and academic accreditation requirements, with the center expressing its thanks and appreciation to the participants for their engagement and keenness to advance the university’s development process.
