Sana’a University ADQAC Monitors Improvement and Development Efforts at Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources

A team from the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC) at Sana’a University conducted a field visit yesterday to the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources to review the current state of its educational, research, and administrative activities and monitor its development and improvement efforts, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its quality assurance system and enhance institutional performance.
The team began the visit with a tour of several Faculty facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, service facilities, and infrastructure components. During the tour, the team assessed the readiness of the educational environment and its compliance with academic requirements and quality assurance and accreditation standards, while also identifying key existing practices and areas requiring further development.
The visiting team comprised Dr. Ahmed Al-Raidi, Dr. Abdullah Al-Tayeb, and Mr. Adel Al-Qubati. The team held a meeting with Dr. Basim Al-Kharbash, Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty Secretary, the administrative officer, and the Faculty Registrar. The meeting addressed a number of academic, administrative, and institutional performance indicators, as well as work mechanisms and the Faculty’s development and improvement plans.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening practices that enhance operational efficiency, developing the educational and research environment, and improving the quality of administrative services in line with the University’s efforts to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
The ADQAC team emphasized the importance of field visits in monitoring the actual performance of the University’s faculties, identifying their needs and development opportunities, and supporting their efforts to achieve their objectives and enhance the quality of their academic outcomes.
The visit forms part of the ADQAC’s regular program for monitoring the performance of Sana’a University’s faculties and centers, strengthening collaboration in the area of quality assurance, and supporting continuous improvement and institutional and academic development.
