Sana’a University ADQAC Reviews Performance Indicators and Academic and Administrative Improvement Opportunities at Faculty of Arts

A team from the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC) at Sana’a University reviewed the level of academic and administrative performance at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities during a field visit, identifying key areas for development that could contribute to enhancing the quality of work and improving the educational and research processes.
The visit forms part of the Center’s efforts to strengthen direct communication with the University’s faculties and monitor their performance and development needs, thereby supporting their efforts to implement quality standards and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
The visit included an inspection of several Faculty facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, and service facilities, as well as an assessment of the readiness of the educational environment and infrastructure, the available resources, and the extent to which they are utilized to support educational and research activities.
The Center’s team comprised Dr. Tawfiq Waze’, Dr. Fathiya Al-Hamdani, and Ms. Wajida Al-Aghbari. The team met with Dr. Abdulmalek Issa, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Sukina Hashem, Vice Dean for Community Service; Dr. Ali Saeed, Vice Dean for Student Affairs; and Mr. Ali Muqdam, Faculty Secretary. The meeting addressed a number of aspects related to academic and administrative operations and discussed development priorities and needs that could be addressed during the coming period.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of developing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and strengthening the documentation of practices and procedures. Such measures would contribute to improving institutional performance, enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative work, and strengthening the Faculty’s readiness to meet quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements.
The ADQAC team emphasized that field monitoring is an important means of gaining a direct understanding of the circumstances of the University’s faculties, identifying opportunities for improvement, and strengthening cooperation with them in addressing areas requiring development. Such efforts ultimately contribute to enhancing the quality of educational, research, and administrative services.
The visit forms part of the Center’s program for monitoring the development efforts of Sana’a University’s faculties, supporting their efforts to enhance institutional and academic performance, and promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement in furtherance of the University’s objectives and mission.
