Medical Faculty Conducts Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Histology Practical Exams for Batch 43

In alignment with its mission to equip students with core clinical and diagnostic competencies, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University held final practical examinations today for the “Human Anatomy and Histology of the Musculoskeletal System” module, serving second-year medical students (Batch 43).
The exams were held across the specialized halls and laboratories of the Anatomy and Histology Department, which are equipped with anatomical models, cadaveric specimens, high-resolution optical microscopes, reference histology slides, and interactive visual displays.
The testing process followed a structured schedule under the supervision of Dean Prof. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Shehari, Vice Dean for Student Affairs Prof. Arwa Othman, and departmental faculty.
The assessment utilized an Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) station system, designed to evaluate student speed and accuracy in identifying gross musculoskeletal structures, microscopic tissue features, and pathological variations.
During an inspection of the testing halls, Dean Al-Shehari noted that practical anatomy and histology serve as the gateway to clinical and surgical disciplines. He stated that the final practical exams rigorously assess the visual and analytical skills acquired through laboratory training, commending the discipline demonstrated by Batch 43 students and organizing committees.
These examinations reflect the faculty’s commitment to integrated medical education that connects theoretical understanding with practical application, preparing future physicians to meet community healthcare needs effectively.
