The Faculty of Mass Communication at Sana’a University will hold an honoring ceremony on Sunday, September 6, 2026, to celebrate its founding pioneers. The event marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Yemen’s first journalism department and the 30th anniversary of the country’s first faculty of mass communication.
Held under the auspices of Sana’a University Rector and the Faculty of Mass Communication Dean, the event is organized by the Department of Public Relations and Advertising to recognize the academic leadership and staff who established and advanced media education in Yemen.
The ceremony will honor Prof. Ahmed Mazhar Aqabat and Dr. Saif Ali Mukred for their dedicated service and lasting contributions to the faculty’s journey.
The event will take place at 10:00 AM in the faculty’s discussion hall. It is organized by third-year Public Relations and Advertising students (34th batch), based on an initiative and under the supervision of Prof. Omar Ibreen.
