  • Obtained my Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Nuclear Engineering and radiation from University of Tennessee, USA.
  • Faculty member of Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Sana’a University
  • Teaching a wide spectrum of physics courses such as Radiotin physics- Medical physics- Biophysics – Nuclear physics- Health Physics- General Physics- Electricity and Magnetism-Quantum Mechanics-Vibrations and Sound- Renewable Energy resources.
  • Teaching Master physics courses such as Quantum physics, Radiation Physics, and health physics.
  • Supervised three Master Thesis in the field of radiation physics
  • Supervised a Master Thesis titled “the study of concentration and elemental composition of particulate matter PM In Sana’a Yemen”.

  • Worked as a Radiation Safety Officer in the university of Tennessee USA in the period of 1995- 2002.
  • Participated in most of the Radiation Safety Office’s (RSO) of Tennessee University (USA) activities such as: Monitoring laboratories which involve radiation activities, inspecting labs, surveying laboratories, approving radioactive materials purchase requests, transporting radioactive materials from RSO to various labs; Receiving and inspecting incoming radioactive materials; Participating in preparation of annual radiation University reports; Calibrating the University’s Geiger Counters; Storing the radioactive material wastes and helping in shipping them; Helping in maintaining University’s radioactive sources.
  • Participated in research studies including: Measurements of radon- 222 concentration in well-water in Sana’a city; Measurements of natural radioactivity in rocks’ samples from Taiz and Lahj governorates; Measurements of radioactivity concentrations in stones and building materials used in constructing houses in Sana’a City; and study of concentration and elemental composition of particulate matter PMin Air samples.
  • Participated in most of the events, workshops, and activities of Mastry Project to Improve the science and mathematics curriculum in the Faculty of Education, Sana’a University.
  • Participated in preparing and writing the Mastry documents such as project’s outcomes and courses description.
  • Participated effectively in all Quality Assurance activities in Faculty of Science-Sana’a University including workshops, meeting, and writing course description of various physics courses.
